METHOD 4 FASHION PORTFOLIO

started as a personal archive of sketchbooks, portfolios and design development techniques that I’ve compiled through my foundation and BA studies at CSM, which I used for education of students who I was helping to get into schools such as CSM, LCF, Westminster, Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Parsons or IFM.

Through my studies and work with people, it became clear to me that the reason most people get in is not always directly linked to their talent, experience or advanced level of skills.

It all came down to understanding the process and using a few techniques that anyone can learn but almost no one was teaching them.

I'm here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know to be able to get into any top fashion program.

The biggest problem  is the LACK OF INFORMATION

and CONFIDENCE that your work is good enough.

If you don’t know what to include in your portfolio, how to communicate and layout your ideas, you will end up producing an unconvincing body of work which is not up to the required standard.

Finding relevant information online, let alone clear instructions on how to develop a portfolio is a time consuming process, which will distract you from producing  strong and unique body of work.

And, worst of all, most people can't get past the idea that it is not only about how good your work is at the moment, but about the quality of your process and your ability to demonstrate that you have the potential to develop further.

I know how OVERWHELMING the process of preparing your portfolio can be.

When I was starting I had no clue how to start preparing, or what a portfolio should look like. I couldn’t find any examples of portfolios of people who got in, so I had nothing and noone to learn from.

The information available online was all scattered and contradicting, which made me feel even more hopeless and doubtful about the quality of my work.

It is not only about how good you are the moment, but about your ability to show potential for further growth.

Unlike the popular belief, you don’t have to be a mature designer or a creative genius. You only have to display work that shows your potential to become one.

What that means is that only certain aspects of your work need to be exceptional, and this can only be achieved through guidance with examples, focused practice of the key skills and understanding of the full process.

I’m here to provide the INFO and TOOLS to help you overcome every challenge in the process of getting into your desired top fashion program.

First hand information is very hard to find online. I would like to make these insights more accessible to anyone who wants to improve their fashion design skills.

Through experience of working with students who got into their desired courses, I started noticing patterns of what people struggle with the most and what they find the most valuable when working with me.

So I developed a method which produced results for anyone, regardless of background and experience.
